The Manitoba Council of Reading Clinicians is pleased to present Lori Jamison Rog, a distinguished Western Canadian Educator. Lori is a former classroom teacher, reading specialist, and provincial consultant. Currently, Lori is an independent literacy consultant and author of important professional books for Pembroke Publishers including: Guiding Readers, Struggling Readers and Marvelous Minilessons for Teaching Nonfiction Writing K-3. Lori has been a strong literacy leader serving in many roles including International Literacy Association Provincial Coordinator with the Saskatchewan Reading Council. She is one of the Canadian leaders who has served on the ILA Board of Directors and was nominated for the position of Vice-President. Lori is a popular speaker at conferences, sharing many literacy and inquiry strategies, tools, and marvelous mini-lessons.
