Lori  is a teacher, author, and literacy consultant. She is one of the few Canadians to have served on the Board of Directors of the International Literacy Association. Lori is the author of a number of professional books on reading and writing instruction, including Guiding Readers, Struggling Readers, and Marvelous Minilessons for Teaching Nonfiction Writing K–3.  A popular speaker at literacy conferences across North America and beyond, Lori is currently an independent consultant, providing professional development to schools and districts.

Join us in exploring one of the latest books in Canadian literature with MYCRA (Manitoba Young Readers Choice Award) author Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch. Ms. Skyrypuch has received many honours for her outstanding books. Marsha will be discussing her most recent book, Don’t Tell the Enemy! Find out how Krystia, a young Ukrainian girl, finds a way to save her Jewish    friends during the Second World War.
