This past weekend (Saturday February 23rd)  was MCRC’s 3rd annual volunteer opportunity at Siloam Mission, helping serve breakfast for some of Winnipeg’s most vulnerable citizens. It was an amazing time of preparing, serving and connecting with individuals who come to Siloam for meals, support and a friendly face. The kitchen is the heart and soul of Siloam Mission. Up to 600 people use their meal services three  times a day, every day. The kitchen staff and volunteers strive to serve nutritious and nourishing food. The philosophy of Siloam’s kitchen sums it all up nicely: Love people and cook good food.

Keep calm

The Executive Council of the Manitoba Council for Reading Clinicians is proud to support the endeavors of the mission. If you are interested in volunteering your time, or donating money please visit the Siloam website  at  www.siloam.ca
