Reading Intervention: Focussing on what’s important while keeping it simple and effective

The Reading Department of Clinical Support Services is pleased to present a guided workshop featuring Sharon Zinke author of the Decoding Solution and creator of Rime Magic.

Sharon will share with participants an array of effective instructional strategies to develop proficient decoding and spelling (encoding) skills so that students are freed to Capturespend the greatest amount of time in class reading and talking about books. From her decades of classroom experience, Sharon understands that reading is all about comprehension and that we need to offer our students daily opportunities to immerse themselves in text and talk with their peers about what they are reading.

Sharon has refined her approach to an easy 7-step system that works, as students say, “like magic.” Participants will learn the Rime Magic strategy, and will leave with the knowledge and resources they need to develop their own kits.
